(Troubleshoot Mode was known as&nbsp;<em>Safe Mode<\/em>&nbsp;in previous versions of Firefox.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode, it temporarily disables add-ons (extensions and themes), turns off hardware acceleration and certain other features, and ignores some customizations (see below\u00a0to learn more). These changes are temporary. When you leave\u00a0Troubleshoot Mode\u00a0and start Firefox normally, your add-ons and other settings will return to the state they were in before you entered\u00a0Troubleshoot Mode.<\/li><li>Clicking the\u00a0<strong>Refresh Firefox<\/strong>\u00a0button will restore Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. These changes are permanent. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"w_diagnosing-problems-in-17troubleshoot-modesf18safe-modesf\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Diagnosing_problems_in_Troubleshoot_Mode\"><\/span>Diagnosing problems in&nbsp;Troubleshoot Mode<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>After you start Firefox in&nbsp;Troubleshoot Mode, you&#8217;ll want to test its behavior and see if the problem goes away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"w_the-problem-happens-in-21troubleshoot-modesf22safe-modesf\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_problem_happens_in_Troubleshoot_Mode\"><\/span>The problem happens in&nbsp;Troubleshoot Mode<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If the problem still happens in\u00a0Troubleshoot Mode, it is not being caused by an extension or theme.
