National Certificate Vocational:

Since the beginning of 2007 all public FET (now TVET) Colleges, (50 countrywide), offer the unique and modern designed National Certificate Vocational programmes.  These high quality skills and knowledge programmes are offered in conjunction with suitable practical experience and exposure to the world of work, thus equipping students with relevant and focused qualifications.
The programmes were designed to address the skills gaps and the needs of both Industry and Business.
The National Certificate Vocational (NCV) is offered on levels 2, 3 and 4 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
This qualification is an alternative choice for Grade 9 learners to move into a vocational field instead of purely academics.  Opportunities for advancement to higher education studies exist, subject to appropriate subject combinations.
